Gretna……….Carl Ervin "Buddy" Grohs, Jr. age of 79 of Gretna died Thursday, November 23, 2023 at Gretna Health and Rehab Center.

Born September 17, 1944 in Detroit, Michigan, he was a son of the late Carl Ervin Grohs, Sr., and Agnes Lucille Manley Grohs.  He was predeceased by two brothers, Phil Grohs, and Mike Grohs.  Mr. Grohs was a U.S. Air Force Veteran, and a furniture designer.  He enjoyed photography; and loved corvettes, he owned several over the years.

He is survived by his wife, Betty Sue Rowland Grohs of the residence; two sisters-in-law, Ellen Wade and husband, Tony of Altavista, and Ann Jones and husband, Terry of Gretna; six nieces and nephews, Daniel Wade and girlfriend, Lauren Krantz, Hunter Akers, Ryan Akers, David Grohs, Nicole Akers and husband, Timmy, and Maci Akers.

Memorial services will be conducted 2:00 p.m. Sunday, November 26, 2023 at Colbert-Moran Chapel by Rev. Lynn Marstin.  Military Honors by American Legion Altavista Post 36 and Gretna Post 232.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service from 1 to 2:00 p.m. Sunday, November 26, 2023 at Colbert-Moran Funeral Home and other times will be at the residence.
