Chatham……Byron Duke Motley, age 67 of Chatham died Thursday, February 13, 2025 at his residence.

Born January 6, 1958 in Danville, he was a son of the late Duke Sterlin Motley and Bevelene Furrow Motley.  He was predeceased by a brother, Galen D. Motley; and  a brother-in-law, Ricky Haskins.  Mr. Motley was of the Christian Faith and a former employee of Times Fiber Communications.  He enjoyed going to flea markets and tractor shows.  He owned many hit and miss engines and loved his John Deere Tractors.

He is survived by his wife, Janice Haskins Motley of the residence; a brother-in-law, Ray Haskins and wife, Katie of Callands; sisters-in-law, Carolyn Towler and husband, Bobby of Chatham, Sylvia Swanson and husband, Roy of Callands and Mary Barker of Callands; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

Graveside services will be conducted 11:00 a.m. Monday, February 17, 2025 at Hillcrest Burial Park by Larry Owen, Minister.

The family will receive friends at the residence.
