Rocky Mount…..Brigitte Ann Martin, age 40 of Rocky Mount died Tuesday, August 16, 2011 at Rocky Mount.
Born March 26, 1971 in Danville, she was the daughter of Harry Glenn Martin of Rocky Mount and Patricia D. Haskins of Rocky Mount. She was predeceased by one brother, Brian Anthony Martin; grandparents, Marjorie Lee and Edward Thomas Haskins, and one uncle, Alan Edward Haskins. She was an Army Veteran having served five years in the U.S. Army Special Forces. She was a member of Fire Baptized Pentecostal Holiness Church of Dry Fork; a graduate of Franklin County High School, and a graduate of National Business College.
In addition to her parents, she is survived by one daughter, Jasmine Witcher of Rocky Mount; one sister, Shannon Dare Tallent; two nieces, Chelsea Ann Martin, and Miracle Lee Tallent; and one nephew, Tristan Owen Montgomery.
Funeral services will be conducted 6:00 p.m. Thursday, August, 18, 2011 at Colbert-Moran Chapel by Pastor Steve Johnson with Military service by the Virginia National Guard, Honor Guard.
The family will receive friends from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. Thursday, August 18, 2011 at Colbert-Moran Funeral Home.
