Altavista……..Brenda King Floyd, age 54 of Altavista died Friday, May 27, 2016 at Lynchburg General Hospital.
Born May 13, 1962 in Lynchburg she was a daughter of the late Willie Odell King and Lillie Louise Mann King. She was predeceased by two brothers, Billy King and David Gene King. Mrs. Floyd was a member of Christian Memorial Pentecostal Holiness Church and was a former employee of Ericsson. She enjoyed fishing, boat riding, four wheelers and her pet birds and chickens.
She is survived by her husband, Tony A. Floyd, Sr. of the residence; two sons, Tony A. Floyd, Jr. and wife, Sabrina of Pulaski and Andrew Floyd of Altavista; one daughter, Tabitha Dawn Floyd of Appomattox; one step-daughter, Shauna Scott of Christiansburg; two brothers, Michael King of Altavista and Robert King of Bland; and one half brother, Jerry King of Gretna.
Funeral services will be conducted 2:00 p.m. Sunday, May 29, 2016 at Colbert-Moran Chapel by Rev. Dennis Nichols. Burial will follow in the King Family Cemetery.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service from 1 to 2:00 p.m. Sunday, May 29, 2016 at Colbert-Moran Funeral Home.
