Gretna………Bradley Brian Barnes, age 56 of Gretna died Thursday, July 27, 2023 at UVA Medical Center.

Born January 21, 1967 in Sturgis, Michigan, he was a son of Penny Pursel Barnes of Gretna and the late Charles "Chuck" Edward Barnes.  He was a member of Greenfield Baptist Church and he was an employee of Abbott Laboratories for 34 years. He loved messing with his Jeep, fishing, going to the beach, and spending time with his boys.

In addition to his mother, he is survived by two sons, Ethan Barnes and wife, Caroline of Gretna, and Evan Barnes of Hurt; a special friend, Belinda Bowman of Madison Heights; one grandson on the way; uncles and cousins in Michigan; and the mother of his children, Tamela Barnes of Hurt.

Memorial services will be conducted 2:00 p.m. Sunday, July 30, 2023 at Colbert-Moran Chapel by Rev. R.G. Rowland.

The family will receive friends from 7 to 8:00 p.m. Saturday, July 29, 2023 at Colbert-Moran Funeral Home and other times will be at the residence, 5756 Deerview Road, Gretna.
