Chatham……….Bobby Randolph "Randy" Pickral, Jr., age 58 of Chatham passed away peacefully at Sovah Health Danville on Sunday evening, November 17, 2024.

Born December 5, 1965 in Danville, he was a son of Patsy Worley Pickral of Chatham and the late Bobby R. Pickral, Sr.

In addition to his father, he was predeceased by his brother, Mike Pickral; maternal grandparents, Harold and Sallie Worley; and paternal grandparents, Harry and Margaret Mills Pickral.

In addition to his mother, he is survived by his loving wife of 33 years, Carolyn Hodnett Pickral; a very special niece, Rebecca Hodnett whom he loved like a daughter; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Lewis and Wanda Hodnett, Anthony and Sharon Hedrick and their children Nicholas Hedrick, and Elizabeth Hedrick Francis and husband Dylan; and many aunts, uncles and cousins.

Randy was employed at Southern States for 25 years as a spreader truck driver and he truly enjoyed his job.  He loved talking with farmers. Randy never met a stranger.  He loved bluegrass music, rabbit hunting, the Yankees baseball team, the Patriots football team, and John Wayne western movies.

Funeral services will be conducted 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, November 20, 2024 at Colbert-Moran Chapel by Ron Voss, Minister and Elder Troy Simpson.  Burial will follow in Sheva Church of Christ Cemetery.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, November 20, 2024 at Colbert-Moran Funeral Home and other times will be at the residence.
