Gretna……….Bobby Glenn Mullins, Sr., age 70 of 1589 Piney Road, Gretna died Monday, March 7, 2011 at Danville Regional Medical Center.
Born July 6, 1940 in Franklin County, he was a son of Frances Hedrick Mullins of Lynchburg and the late Frank Edward Mullins. Mr. Mullins was predeceased by two brothers, Clarence Mullins and Roy Mullins. He was a U.S. Army Veteran. He was of the Methodist Faith, and was a retired mechanic. Mr. Mullins loved his grandchildren, and working at LaTrelle's Restaurant. He also enjoyed NASCAR, watching wrestling, and working on cars.
In addition to his mother he is survived by his wife, Jeannette Shelton Mullins of the residence, a son, Bobby Glenn Mullins, Jr. and his wife, Terri of Gretna; two daughters, LaTrelle Mullins Martin and her husband, David of Gretna, and Brittany L. Mullins of Gretna; two brothers, Frank Mullins, Jr. of Monroe, and Jesse Mullins of Grundy; two sisters, Marie Jefferson of Penhook, and Janice Gibson of Bedford; four grandchildren, Dustin Lee Brumfield, Damon Glenn Mullins, Aiden Gage Mullins, and Emmalee Ayers.
Funeral services will be conducted 2:00 P.M. Thursday, March 10, 2011 at Colbert-Moran Chapel by Pastor Terry St. John, and Elder Melvin Shelton. Burial with Military Honors by the Virginia National Guard, Honor Guard will follow in Carl O. Moran Memorial Garden.
The family will receive friends from 7 to 8:30 P.M. Wednesday, March 9, 2011 at Colbert-Moran Funeral Home and other times will be at the residence.
