Hurt..…..Billy Wayne "Bud" Rigney, age 79 of Hurt died Thursday, November 7, 2019.

Born November 8, 1939 in Pittsylvania County, he was a son of the late James H. Rigney and Viola Huff Rigney.  He was predeceased by a brother, Junior Rigney.  Mr. Rigney retired from BGF.  He enjoyed working on cars, fishing, and going to races.

He is survived by three sisters, Hilda Hogan of Danville, Frances Lawrence of Penhook, Ritha Gammon of Danville; nieces and nephews, including nephew, Dale Rigney and wife, Joy of Danville; and a special friend, Jean E. Chumley of Hurt.

Graveside services will be conducted 3:00 p.m. Saturday, November 9, 2019 at Highland Burial Park in Danville by Rev. R.G. Rowland.
