Gretna…….Billy Ray Power, age 56 of Gretna died Sunday, October 25, 2015 at his residence.
Born May 29, 1959 in Danville he was a son of the late Cecil Ray "Buddy" Power and Lizzie Mae Francis Power. He was a member of Piney Grove Baptist Church and was an employee of VDOT. He enjoyed all sports, especially drag racing, golf and bowling. He loved his many nieces and nephews and his cat, "Buffy."
He is survived by his wife of 28 years Pam Boggs Power of the residence; three brothers, Wayne Power of Gretna, Lynn Power of Gretna and Sam Power of Gretna; two sisters, Joan P. Myers of Gretna and Connie P. Shelton of Gretna; his in-laws, Gary and Melba Boggs of Hurt; and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be conducted 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, October 28, 2015 at Colbert-Moran Chapel by Pastor Matthew Speck. Burial will follow in Carl O. Moran Memorial Garden.
The family will receive friends from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Tuesday, October 27, 2015 at Colbert-Moran Funeral Home and other times will be at the residence.
