Gretna………Billy James Davis, Jr., age 56 of Gretna died Wednesday, September 18, 2024 at Centra Lynchburg General Hospital.

Born November 13, 1967 in Danville, he was a son of Billy James Davis, Sr. and wife, Diane of Hurt and the late Connie Gaye Mayhew.  He was predeceased by his paternal grandparents, James Ashby Davis and Louise Turner Wlson; and his maternal grandparents, John Mayhew and Emogene Guthrie Mayhew.  Mr. Davis was a former security guard at Hargrave Military Academy.  He loved his family and his dog, "Hooch;" and he enjoyed watching television and collecting knives.

In addition to his father and step-mother, he is survived by his wife, Pamela Falls Davis of the residence; and one step-brother, Chris Hines of Hurt.
