Gretna………Betty Jean Saunders Bolling, age 84 of Gretna died Sunday, March 13, 2022 at Centra Lynchburg General Hospital.

Born November 19, 1937 in Pittsylvania County, she was a daughter of the late John Hurt Saunders and Blanche Brown Saunders.  She was predeceased by two sons, Jason Bolling and Billy Bolling; and two sisters and nine brothers.  Mrs. Bolling was a member of Pittsville Pentecostal Holiness Church and she was a home maker.  She loved flowers, butterflies, going to church, and spending time with her family.

She is survived by her husband, Raleigh Lee Bolling of the residence; five sons, Johnny Bolling and wife, Sandra of Gretna, Michael Bolling and wife, Kimberly of Danville, Jeff Bolling and wife, Patricia of Gretna, Randy Bolling of Danville, and David Bolling and wife, Debra of Dry Fork; one daughter, Janet Riley and husband, Pete of Nelson; eighteen grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild.

Funeral services will be conducted 4:00 p.m. Wednesday, March 16, 2022 at Pittsville Pentecostal Holiness Church by Pastor Thomas Lee.  Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 7 to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, March 15, 2022 at Colbert-Moran Funeral Home.
