Gretna……….Betty Jo Lassiter Mason, age 58 of 3233 Pittsville Road, Gretna died Wednesday, April 10, 2013 at her residence.
Born August 28, 1954 in Campbell County, she was a daughter of the late Andrew Lewis (Dick) Lassiter, Sr. and Hattie Keesee Lassiter. She was predeceased by a brother, Andy Lassiter. Betty Jo enjoyed landscaping, gardening and ceramics. She was a member of Gretna Christian Church and was an employee of Womack Publishing.
She is survived by her husband, Lee Mason of the residence; one son, Christopher Mason of Gretna; and one sister, June Newsome and husband, Jerry of Burlington, NC.
Funeral services will be conducted 11:00 A.M. Saturday, April 13, 2013 at the Gretna Christian Church by Rev. Roy Parker. Burial will follow in Carl O. Moran Memorial Garden.
The family will receive friends 7 to 8 P.M. Friday, April 12, 2013 at Colbert-Moran Funeral Home and other times will be at the residence.
