Evington……Betty Jean Dunn Adams, age 77 of Evington was gently lifted by the Angels into the Arms of her Savior on Thursday, December 24, 2020 at Centra Lynchburg General Hospital.

Born February 21, 1943 in Lynchburg, she was a daughter of the late John Clayton Dunn and Corrine Jordan Dunn Pritchard.  She was predeceased by her husband, John J. Adams; and her grandparents that raised her, Willie Walter Jordan and Rosa Ann Jordan.  Mrs. Adams was a member of Tree of Life Ministries and she retired from CVTC.  She enjoyed gardening, making flower arrangements, fishing, listening to music, entertaining, and cooking.

She is survived by two sons, John H. Adams of Rustburg, and Billy W. Adams and wife, Robbie of Altavista; two daughters, Debra Adams of Hurt, and Bridgett Hudson of Gladys; one brother, John M. Dunn of Lynchburg; one sister, Linda J. Wilson of Rustburg; her sister-in-law, Dora L. White of Cartersville, GA; seven grandchildren, Derrick Adams, Crystal Haynes, Bill Adams, Kevin Epperson, Dylan Adams and wife, Sheri, Ashley Hubbard and husband, John, and Stevie Hudson, Jr.; and twelve great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be conducted 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, December 29, 2020 at Colbert-Moran Chapel by Pastor Ray Kingrea.  Burial will follow in the Swain-Adams Family Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorial donations be made to the American Lung Association.
