Collinsville……Bertha McAlexander Barker, age 72 of Collinsville died Friday, July 26, 2024 in Greensboro, NC.

Born June 11, 1952 in Patrick County, she was  a daughter of the late William McAlexander and Eva Shelton McAlexander.  She was predeceased by her first husband, James Moir McAlexander; her second husband, Jimmie Edward Barker; four brothers, John McAlexander, Robert McAlexander, George McAlexander and Willie McAlexander; and three sisters, Martha Thomas, Dolly Sink and Rosa Belle McAlexander.  Mrs. Barker was a member of Round Pond Baptist Church and she was a home maker.  She enjoyed gardening, coloring, being outdoors and singing gospel music.

She is survived by one daughter, Susan Campbell and fiancé, Danny McAlexander of Collinsville; two grandchildren, Chelsea Martin and Hannah Campbell; two special great-grandchildren, Savannah Sarver and Brooklyn Martin; and great-grandchildren, Jonah Martin-Campbell and Jeremiah Campbell.

Graveside services will be conducted 11:00 a.m. Monday, July 29, 2024 at Liberty Memorial Cemetery by Rev. R.G. Rowland.
