Lynchburg…..Bernice King Moses, age 86 of Lynchburg died Monday, February 10, 2020 at Centra Lynchburg General Hospital.

Born December 14, 1933 in Pittsylvania County, she was a daughter of the late William King and Mattie "Doug" King.  She was predeceased by her husband, Walter Earl Moses; five brothers, James King, Wilbur "Wibby" King, Odell King, Buddy King, and Benford King; and three sisters, Lena King, Mammie Eades, and Louise Emerson.  Mrs. Moses was a seamstress; and she enjoyed making bed quilts, sewing, antique cars and race cars.

She is survived by one son, Bruce Moses and wife, Wendy of Long Island; two daughters, Nancy M. Goff and husband, George of Evington, and Barbara A. Moses of Lynchburg; one brother, Swanson King of Renan; five grandchildren, eight-great-grandchildren, and five great-great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be conducted 2:00 p.m. Thursday, February 13, 2020 at Colbert-Moran Chapel by Monroe Coffer and Brother Matthew Woosley.  Burial will follow in the King Family Cemetery.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service from 1 to 2:00 p.m. Thursday, February 13, 2020 at Colbert-Moran Funeral Home.
