Gladys……….Bernard Wagner Tuck, Jr. age 60 of Gladys died Sunday March 6, 2016 at his residence.
Born September 27, 1955 in Pearson County, NC he was a son of Mary Elizabeth Ward Epperson of Altavista and the late Bernard Wagner Tuck, Sr. He was predeceased by his wife, Phyllis Seamster Tuck; a step-son, Brandon Downey; and a brother, Cecil Tuck. Mr. Tuck was a former truck driver for English Construction. He enjoyed working on his truck, fishing, hunting; and watching
Sci-Fi movies and wrestling.
In addition to his mother he is survived by two step-sons, Ray Downey of Gladys and Lewis Downey of Gladys; two brothers, Clyde Tuck of Altavista and Earl Tuck of Altavista; two sisters, Peggy Barbour and husband, Jimmy of Hurt and Bonnie Keatts and husband, Donnie of Hurt; three grandchildren, Shannon Motley and husband, Scott of Gretna and Felicia Burkhardt and husband, Matt of Gretna and Paige Walden of Brookneal; five great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
Graveside services will be conducted 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, March 9, 2016 at Swan Creek Baptist Church Cemetery by Larry Owen, Minister.
The family will receive friends from 7 to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, March 8, 2016 at Colbert-Moran Funeral Home and other times will be at the residence of his mother, Mary Elizabeth Epperson, 802 Park Street, Altavista.
