Newport News……….Barbara White Norcutt, age 62 of Newport News, passed away Friday, May 12, 2023 at Riverside Regional Medical Center in Newport News surrounded by her family after a brave battle with Cancer.

Barbara was born June 25, 1960 in Danville, VA to the late Luther White and Delma Ann Motley White. She was predeceased by a brother, Landon White.

She is survived by her husband of 42 years, Glenn Norcutt of the residence. Also surviving is her beloved son, Matthew Norcutt of Newport News. Sisters Mary East (Delvin) of Chatham and Becky Martin of Lynchburg. Brothers-in-law, Lynn Norcutt (Peggy) and Lonnie Norcutt (Joanne). Sisters-in-law, Peggy Dunton (Lyn) and Margie Haden (Ralph). She was a beloved aunt to numerous nieces and nephews and great-nieces and great-nephews and a good friend to many.

Barbara graduated from Gretna Senior High School in 1979 and was a childcare provider in her home for many years. Many of those she cared for stayed in touch due to her love and care. She was especially close to Rece Lewis and his family. She enjoyed yearly trips to Nags Head Beach with all the Norcutt's each summer. She also loved coming "back home" to Chatham.

She was a member of Liberty Baptist Church and attended Sheva Church of Christ whenever she came back to Chatham to visit. Barbara was known for her generous nature and tender heart and concern for others.

Funeral services will be conducted 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, May 16, 2023 at Sheva Church of Christ by Larry Owen, Minister and Ron Voss, Minister. Burial will follow in Carl O. Moran Memorial Garden.

The family will receive friends from 6:30 to 8:00 p.m. Monday, May 15, 2023 at Sheva Church of Christ.
