Gretna………Barbara Ann Hogan Vedder, age 91 of Gretna passed away Friday, August 21, 2026 at Gretna Health and Rehab Center.

Born October 2, 1934 in Bedford County, she was a daughter of the late Lawrence Henry Hogan and Elsie Joanne Updike Hogan.  She was predeceased by her husband, Joel Lee Vedder; a son, Joel Lee "Buddy" Vedder, Jr; a granddaughter, Sierra Rae Lane; and two sisters, Katherine Leftwich and Bettie Mae Whitehurst.  Mrs. Vedder was a member of Sycamore Baptist Church and she retired from Craddock-Terry.

She is survived by two daughters, Jo Ann Holland and husband, Chip of Dry Fork and Vicki Lane and husband, Ben of Gretna; one brother, Jimmie Hogan of Bedford; three grandchildren, Brent Finney, Kenneth Joel Holland and Josie Lane; and four great-grandchildren, Cheyenne Finney, Elijah Layne, Elaina Land and David Land.

Graveside memorial services will be conducted 10:00 a.m. Thursday, August 27, 2026 by Rev. R.G. Rowland and Pastor Cody Rader at Gretna Burial Park.
