Lynchburg………Barbara Dalton Hawkins, age 87 of Lynchburg died Wednesday, February 9, 2022 at her residence.

Born November 8, 1934 in Pittsylvania County, she was a daughter of the late Guy Owen Dalton, Sr. and Mildred Younger Dalton.  She was predeceased by one grandchild, Blake Woody; and three brothers, Malon Dalton, Berkley Dalton, and Garry Dalton.  Mrs. Hawkins was a faithful member of Christian Chapel and she was a home maker. She enjoyed flower gardening and spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She is survived by one son, James Dalton and wife, Lynn of Lynchburg; four daughters, Geraldine Stratton of Gretna, Cindy Woody and husband, Ed of Lynchburg, Brenda Woody and husband, Charles of Lynchburg, and Bett Webb and husband, E.T. Hunt of Lynchburg; four brothers, Ron Dalton and wife, Gail of Gretna, Doug Dalton of Gretna, Guy Dalton, Jr. of Gretna, and Jerry Dalton of Penhook; two sisters, Louise Woolard of Gretna and Betty George of Gretna; six grandchildren, Chris Pugh and wife, Jennifer of Newport News, Candace Farmer & husband, James of Charlotte Court House, Trey Dalton of Mount Juliet, TN, Brandy Webb and husband, Teddy Taylor of Lynchburg, Chad Lee of Lynchburg and Terry Ayers of South Boston; and 10 great-grandchildren, including one special great-granddaughter, Keoki Webb.

Funeral services will be conducted 11:00 a.m. Monday, February 14, 2022 at Colbert-Moran Chapel by Pastor Ray Tripplett. Burial will follow in the Russ-Dalton Family Cemetery.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service from 10 to 11:00 a.m. Monday, February 14, 2022 at Colbert-Moran Funeral Home.
