Hurt……Ashley Rebekah Dawson, age 25 of Hurt found rest in the arms of our Lord, Sunday, September 25, 2016 in Santa Ana, California.
Born April 14, 1991 in Dublin Georgia, she was a daughter of Christopher Scott Dawson of Hurt and Andrea Ellis Dawson of Forest. She was predeceased by her paternal grandfather, Larry Dawson; and her maternal grandmother, Ruth Stafford. Ashley enjoyed hunting, fishing, and floating the river. She was a free spirit who loved music, laughing, and spending time with family. She most loved being with her nieces and nephews. Ashley was a bright soul who was able to find a friend in anyone.
In addition to her parents she is survived by two sisters, Jessica Ayers and husband, Brad of Madison Heights and Danielle Dawson and fiancé, Blaine Stanley of Madison Heights; one brother, Christopher Dawson of Hurt; her devoted paternal grandmother, Martha Dawson and Aunt Gwen Goggin, both of Hurt; her paternal grandfather, Kelly Ellis and wife, Tina of Dublin, GA; three uncles, Brad Dawson, Todd Dawson, and Chris Ellis; three aunts, Laura Ellis, Carmen Kurek, and Maria Ellis; four loving cousins, Amanda Farmer and husband, Nathan, Bradley Dawson, Savannah Ellis, and Kelly Hensley; four nieces and nephews, Kara Ayers, Carly Ayers, Hayden Barker and Jaxon Stanley, and many other special family members and friends.
Funeral services will be conducted 2:00 p.m. Sunday, October 2, 2016 at Monte Vista Baptist Church by Rev. Wyatt Miles. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Saturday, October 1, 2016 at Colbert-Moran Funeral Home and other times will be at the residence, 700 Spring Street, Hurt.
