Norfolk…..Ashby Lee Woodlief, age 95 of Norfolk died Tuesday, October 15, 2013 at Avante at Lynchburg.
Born August 29, 1918 in Henderson, NC, he was a son of the late John Lee Woodlief and Ethel Young Woodlief. He was the husband for over 60 years to the late Lelia Odessa Yeatts Woodlief. He was also predeceased by four sisters. Mr. Woodlief was a retired United States Navy Veteran having served for over twenty years.
He was the last member of his generation of the Woodlief/Young family of Bobbitt, NC.
Following his wishes a private burial with military honors by the Virginia National Guard Honor Guard will be held by Rev. Richard Jett.
