Gretna……Arthur Lewis Kyser, Jr., age 91 of Gretna died Monday, August 22, 2022 at his residence.

Born November 21, 1930 in Orange, Virginia, he was a son of the late Arthur Lewis Kyser, Sr. and Geneva Sparks.  Mr. Kyser was predeceased by two brothers, James Kyser, and Ray Kyser; one sister, Barbara Ann Gibson; his step-mother, Mary Lou Berry; and a son-in-law, Winfred S. Palmore.  He was a member of Open Bible Baptist Church and a former employee of Duvall Homes in DeLand, Florida.  He enjoyed fishing and woodworking.

He is survived by his wife Peggie Denby Kyser of the residence; one son, Pastor Tim Kyser and wife, Debbie of Gretna; one daughter, Starr Palmore of Gretna; two brothers, Danny Kyser and wife, Diane of Charlottesville, and Dale Kyser and wife, Lois of Charlottesville; four grandchildren, Michelle McDonald and husband, Brian, Jonathan Kyser and wife, Andrea, Emily Kyser, and Joy Kyser; two great-grandchildren, Amber Roberts, and Taylor Morris; and five great-great-grandchildren.

Memorial services will be conducted 3:00 p.m. Sunday, August 28, 2022 at Open Bible Baptist Church by Pastor Tim Kyser.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service from 2 to 3:00 p.m. Sunday, August 28, 2022 at Open Bible Baptist Church.
