Chatham……Arleen Moser Giles, age 85 of Chatham died Tuesday, April 16, 2024 at Chatham Health and Rehab Center.

Born May 30, 1938 in Pittsylvania County, she was a daughter of the late Odell Vester Moser and Lucy Ann Cash Moser Scearce.  She was predeceased by her husband, Marvin Aaron Giles; one daughter, Denna Melissa Giles; two brothers, Glend Moser and Harold Moser; and three sisters, Virginia Barbour, Gladys Lumpkin, and Shelby Perkins.  Mrs. Giles was a member of Springfield Church and she retired from Klopman Mills.

She is survived by one son, Douglas Giles of Danville; one grandson, Ricky Giles and wife, Christine; two great-grandchildren, Bella Giles and Winter Giles; and good friends and caretakers, Sadie Tosh and Connie Gibson.

Graveside services will be conducted 2:00 p.m. Thursday, April 18, 2024 at Gretna Burial Park by Elder Raymond Goad.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. at Gretna Burial Park.
