Altavista………Anthony Todd Simpson, age 55 of Altavista, died Monday, December 24, 2018 at his residence.

Born September 12, 1963 in Danville, he was a son of Dolores Martin Simpson of Gretna and the late Grady Ray Simpson.  Anthony was a landscaper with Evergreen Lawn Maintenance.  He enjoyed arts, crafts, painting, woodcarving, antiques and being in and around the water.

In addition to his mother, he is survived by a son, Benjamin Simpson of Chatham, a daughter, Bethany Simpson of Chatham; four brothers, Timothy Simpson of Gretna, Troy Simpson and wife, Sandy of Chatham, Chris Simpson and wife, Debbie of Gretna, and Michael Simpson and wife, Melissa of Hurt; a sister, Tammy Hackworth and husband, Ray of Hurt; and a granddaughter, Peighton Simpson.

Funeral services will be conducted 11:00 a.m. Friday, December 28, 2018 at Colbert-Moran Chapel by Elder Troy Simpson.  Burial will follow in Carl O. Moran Memorial Garden.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service from 10 to 11:00 a.m. Friday, December 28, 2018 at Colbert-Moran Funeral Home.
