Gretna.........Anthony Scott Barbour, age 50 of Gretna, died Thursday, April 6, 2023 at Centra Lynchburg General Hospital surrounded by his family and loved ones.   Through LifeNet Health, Anthony was able to give to others through organ donation.

Born November 8, 1972 in Danville, he was a son of Leslie and Pam Barbour of Sandy Level.  He was predeceased by his maternal grandparents, Quitman and Thelma Arthur; his paternal grandparents, Lewis and Jewel Barbour; and an uncle, Mark Anthony Arthur.  Anthony was a member of Sandy Level Baptist Church.  He was a man of many talents; he was a maintenance mechanic with Plygem and the owner of Barbour Woodworx.  He enjoyed being outdoors, drag racing; and he loved his family and he enjoyed spending time with his family and his dog "Pootie".

In addition to his parents, he is survived by his wife, Myra Cook Barbour of the residence; three sons, Jesse Arthur (Chasity Eastridge) of Hurt, Isaac Scott Barbour (Katie Douglas) of Gretna and Ryan Anthony Barbour of Gretna; one grandson, Conor Arthur; two brothers, Sean Barbour (Marie) of Sandy Level and Jeremy Barbour (Damita) of Roanoke; two uncles, Dennis Barbour (Sadie) of Clinton, NC and Alfred Arthur (Tami) of Sandy Level; one aunt, Gail Barbour Edwards (Durwood) of Gretna; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be conducted 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, April 11, 2023 at Sandy Level Baptist Church by Pastor Kendell Smith, Rev. R.G. Rowland and Rev. Jason Andrews.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 8:00 p.m. Monday, April 10, 2023 at Colbert-Moran Funeral Home and other times will be at the residence, 2201 Sycamore Road, Gretna.
