Pittsville……….Annie Pearl Tucker, age 93 of Pittsville died Tuesday, May 27, 2014 at Autumn Care Nursing & Rehab in Altavista.
Born January 12, 1921 in Pittsylvania County, she was a daughter of the late Zack Monroe Tuck and Maxie Maude Neal Tuck. Mrs. Tucker was predeceased by her husband, Robert Lee (Bob) Tucker; three brothers, Thomas Tuck, Calvin Tuck and George Tuck; two sisters, Hazel McDaniel and Elsie Tuck; and three step-children, Charlie Tucker, Mamie Huff and Lottie Eades. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Gretna and was a home maker. Mrs. Tucker enjoyed cooking, watching TV, flowers, her church and spending time with her friends and family.
She is survived by one sister, Dorothy Hines of Pittsville; two sisters-in-law, Ramona Tuck of Gretna and Linda Tuck of Blairs; many step-grandchildren and step-great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be conducted 2:00 p.m. Friday, May 30, 2014 at the Colbert-Moran Chapel by Rev. Jason Andrews. Burial will follow in Carl O. Moran Memorial Garden.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service from 1 to 2:00 P.M. Friday, May 30, 2014 at Colbert-Moran Funeral Home.
