Altavista…….Annie Lee McCloud Minor, age 87 of Altavista passed away Friday, October 2, 2026 at Autumn Care of Altavista.

Born December 9, 1938 in Rockingham County, North Carolina, she was a daughter of the late Larry Matthews McCloud and Ruby Lee Moore McCloud. She was predeceased by her husband of 50 years, Bart Rankin Minor; and several brothers and sisters. Mrs. Minor loved to cook and attend Bluegrass festivals with her husband.

She is survived by one daughter, Renee Guthrie and husband, Doug of Altavista; one son, Ben Minor, Sr. and wife, Robin of Jamestown, NC; four grandchildren, Brian Carter and Kim, Clint Guthrie and wife, Jessica, Cody Guthrie, and Ben Minor, Jr. and wife, Charity; nine great-grandchildren, Ashton, Alissa, Olivia, McKenzie, Christopher, Parker, Landon, Kiernan and Lukas; and a special family friend, Amy Miller.

Memorial services will be held at a later date.

The family would like to give a special thank you to all the nurses and staff at Autumn Care of Altavista for their love and care.
