Gretna………Annie Osborne Jefferson, age 92 of Gretna died peacefully at her home on Friday, May 4, 2018 .

Born January 24, 1926 in Pittsylvania County, she was the eldest daughter of the late Reuben Osborne and Luttie Rigney Osborne. She attended Climax High School where she met the love of her life, James Perry Jefferson. They married in December 1946 and moved to a farm in Gretna where they raised two sons, Roger Perry Jefferson and Anthony James Jefferson. In 1963, Mrs. Jefferson enrolled in Beauty College and later opened Jefferson Beauty Salon on Henry Street in Gretna. For more than 30 years, she took great pride in mentoring young beauticians and providing excellent service to her clients. Mrs. Jefferson was a member at West End Church of Christ where she was a former Sunday School Teacher. Throughout her life, Mrs. Jefferson enjoyed attending church, reading, needlework, and gardening. Most of all, she enjoyed spending time with her family.

Mrs. Jefferson was predeceased by her husband, James Perry Jefferson and three brothers, Herman Osborne, Haywood Osborne, and Lenwood 'Pete' Osborne.

Mrs. Jefferson will be lovingly remembered by her sons, Roger Jefferson and Anthony Jefferson; her daughters-in-law, Linda Jefferson and Debra Jefferson; her brother, Luther 'Jim' Osborne, and sister-in-law, Wayburn Osborne; her sisters, Beulah Brittin and Jean Jones; three grandchildren, Rodney Jefferson (Stephanie), Dr. Angela Jefferson, and Leigh Heiss (Eric); five great-grandchildren, Taylor Jefferson, Wade Jefferson, Ann Perry Jefferson, Ben Heiss, and Sam Heiss; and family friend, Susan Pope.

Funeral services will be conducted 2:00 p.m. Monday, May 7, 2018 at Colbert-Moran Chapel by Bob Moulden, Minister. Burial will follow in Gretna Burial Park.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. Monday, May 7, 2018 at Colbert-Moran Funeral Home and other times will be at Mrs. Jefferson's residence.

The family would like to provide a heartfelt thank you to Mrs. Jefferson's caregivers, including Terri Osborne Rader (a special niece to Mrs. Jefferson), Tammi White, Dale Matherly, and Centra Hospice of Lynchburg.
