Gretna……….Anna Lee Creasy Perkins, age 93 of Gretna died Thursday, December 2, 2021 at Gretna Health and Rehab Center.

Born September 26, 1928 in Pittsylvania County, she was a daughter of the late Charlie Henry Creasy and Mary Bowler Creasy.  She was predeceased by her husband, Lloyd G. Perkins; and one sister, Ruby Creasy Rodgers.  Mrs. Perkins was a member of Midway Baptist Church.

She worked at the Lane Company for 35 years, was a homemaker and wonderful cook.  She loved spending time with her family and making their favorite desserts for family get-togethers.  She was a very devoted wife, mother and grandmother.  Her favorite activity was doing whatever Lloyd wanted to do and later on, family dinners.   Mrs. Perkins also enjoyed spoiling her grandchildren and traveling.  She never threw a horse shoe that wasn't a ringer.

She is survived by one daughter, Martha Perkins Adams and husband, David V. Adams III of Gretna; two grandsons, David V. Adams IV and wife, Allison, and Charles Perkins Adams and wife, B.J.; six great-grandsons, Alan Adams, Brandon Adams and wife, Sabrina, Kaleb Hackett, Casey Hackett, Evan Adams, and Alex Adams.

Graveside services will be conducted 2:00 p.m. Monday, December 6, 2021 at Greenfield Baptist Church Cemetery by David V. Adams IV.

The family will receive friends following the service at the residence of her grandson, David V. Adams IV, 135 Knollwood Drive, Gretna, VA.

In lieu of flowers she requested memorial contributions be made to the  Greenfield Baptist Church Cemetery Fund, P.O. Box 875, Gretna, VA 24557 or to Midway Baptist Church, 2136 Midway Road, Gretna, VA 24557.
