Altavista............Allie (Sonny) Ramsey Collins, Jr., age 46 of Altavista died Tuesday, December 21, 2010 as the result of an automobile accident.
Born January 16, 1964 in Danville he was the son of Allie Ramsey Collins Sr. and Mary Jane Doss Collins both of Gretna. He was predeceased by a son, Dillon Collins. Sonny was a member of West End Church of Christ and was a welder. Mr. Collins enjoyed fishing and hunting.
In addition to his parents he is survived by a son, Joshua Wade Collins of Danville; two daughters, Tracie LeAnn Collins of Gretna, and Carrie Lynn Collins of Danville; a granddaughter, Layla Dawn Dalton of Gretna; and a special friend, Annette (Anne) Power of Altavista.
Funeral services will be conducted 2:00 p.m. Friday, December 24, 2010 at Colbert-Moran Chapel by Terry Schultz, Minister. Burial will follow in Gretna Burial Park.
The family will receive friends from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Thursday, December 23, 2010 at Colbert-Moran Funeral Home and other times will be at the residence of his parents, Allie and Mary Jane Collins, 1252 West Gretna Road, Gretna.
