Chatham………Allen Wayne Moore, age 85 of Chatham passed away Friday, September 25, 2026 at his daughter's residence.

Born July 8, 1941 in Pittsylvania County, he was a son of the late Walter Moore and Minnie Whitlow Moore.  He was predeceased by his wife, Coy Updike Moore and several brothers and sisters.  Mr.  Moore was a farmer.

He is survived by one daughter, Terri Boswell; one son, Allen Moore, Jr. and wife, Monica; six grandchildren, Kasey Giles, William Boswell, Harry Boswell, Ava Moore, Claire Moore and Caleb Moore; five great-grandchildren, Lacey Mulero, Weston Giles, Levi Boswell, Chloe Boswell and Everly Boswell; two sisters, Nancy Hunley and Myrtle Brumfield; and one brother, Billy Moore.

Per his request there will be no public service.

The family will receive friends at the residence of his daughter, Terri Boswell, 5409 Chalk Level Road, Chatham, VA.
