Gretna, VA — Allan Philip Lavoie, age 77, of Gretna, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, January 14, 2026, in the home he lovingly built.

Born on April 26, 1948, in Peabody, Massachusetts, Allan was the only son of the late Albert Lavoie and Amelia Mary Kulicoski Lavoie. A man of deep faith, he was a devoted member of St. Victoria Catholic Church, where he found strength in his faith and community. Allan retired after 35 years with The Hartford Insurance Company, a career that allowed him to later enjoy one of his greatest pleasures—traveling to every corner of the United States and spending meaningful time with friends and family. Though he moved away from Massachusetts, Allan fully embraced life in the South while proudly holding onto his New England roots. An avid hunter and fisherman, he also remained a loyal supporter of his New England sports teams and never lost his appreciation for a perfect cup of Dunkin'.

He is survived by his beloved wife, Dianna Simpson Lavoie; his daughter, Jacqueline Scolpini, and her husband, Ryan, of Gretna; his sons, Jean-Paul Lavoie and his wife, Cathy, of Gibsonville, North Carolina, and Daniel Lavoie and his wife, Sarah, of Bethesda, Maryland; and his five cherished grandchildren, Hayden, Gabrielle, Courtlyn, Molly, and Ellen.

A Funeral Mass will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, January 31, 2026, at St. Victoria Catholic Church, celebrated by Father Jim Gallagher and Deacon John Carey.
