Gretna……...Alice Marie Ickes Dalton, age 98 of Gretna died Thursday, September 7, 2023 at Runk and Pratt at Forest.

Born March 14, 1925 in Osterburg, Pennsylvania, she was a daughter of the late Raymond Ambrose Ickes and Hattie Bell Weyant Ickes.  She was predeceased by her husband, Gene Calvin Dalton; two sons, Gene "Butch" Dalton, and Gerald "Jerry" Dalton; and eleven brothers and sisters.  Mrs. Dalton was of the Methodist faith, and attended Anderson Memorial United Methodist Church.  She was a member of the Red Hat Society, and she was a home maker.  She lived her life happily and enthusiastic and was an avid dancer and loved the Polka.  Mrs. Dalton was a genuinely loving person and was loved by everyone she met.

She is survived by three sons, Randy Dalton and wife, Cathy of Lynchburg, Mark Dalton and wife, Debbie of California, and James Dalton of Gretna; four grandchildren, Zachary Gold Dalton, Zoey Alexandra Johnson, Jennifer Marie, and Courtney Karkenny; and three great-grandchildren, Robert Beau Johnson, Gracie Witt, and Camryn Witt.

Funeral services will be conducted 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, September 13, 2023 at Colbert-Moran Chapel by Rev. Douglas Gunsalus. Burial will follow in Green Lawn Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 3 to 5:00 p.m. Tuesday, September 12, 2023 at Colbert-Moran Funeral Home and other times will be at the residence of Kathy Dalton, 617 Irby Circle, Gretna.
