The family of Alice Gay Aylor, 91 of Gretna, announces her passing on Saturday, May 24, 2025. As per her wishes, she was able to stay and be cared for in her home which was a great comfort to her and her family.

Born August 8, 1933 in Gretna, she was the daughter of the late Randolph Gay and Alma Davis Gay of Gretna. She was predeceased by her loving husband, Manly Hargrave Aylor. They were married for 44 years.

Alice was a graduate of Gretna High School Class of 1950.  Upon marrying, Alice became a homemaker, raised two sons and was a member of the First Baptist Church of Gretna and various civic and area groups.  She greatly enjoyed traveling, especially with her two grandsons, listening to music, and going out to eat with friends and family.

She leaves behind two sons, Manly H. Aylor Jr. and wife, Kitty of Roanoke and her devoted son, Thomas Randolph Aylor and friend, Tonda Finney of Gretna; her most treasured grandsons, Richard Hargrave Aylor and fiancée, Briana Kneisl of Evergreen, Colorado and Robert Carter Aylor and wife, Blair of Clearwater, Florida; and their mother, Alison Allsbrook of Roanoke.  She also leaves behind her brothers Johnny Gay and wife, Mitty of Chesapeake (formerly of Altavista) and Bobby Gay and wife, Janice of Buena Vista.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, May 27, 2025 at Colbert Moran Funeral Home Chapel at 11:00 a.m.  Burial will follow in the Gretna Burial Park.   Services will be conducted by Alice's grandsons, Pastor Richard Aylor and Robert Carter Aylor.

Family will receive friends one hour prior to the service and other times the family will be at the residence.
