Gretna……..Alfred "Al" James Keatts, age 70 of Gretna, died Monday, August 28, 2023 at his residence.

Born September 16, 1952 in Lynchburg, he was a son of the late Robert "Bob" Morton Keatts and Gladys Dalton Keatts.  Al was a mechanic; and he loved old cars, drag racing, camping, and fishing.

He is survived by one daughter, Shannon Hines and husband, Kevin of Altavista; one son, Eric Keatts of Richmond; one sister, Robin Reynolds of Gretna; four grandchildren, Chandler Reynolds and husband, Jake, David Allen Moon, Courtney Hines, and Grayson Moon; two great-grandchildren, Ryland Reynolds, and Coleson Reynolds; special friends, Adam and Jennifer Cooper, Grayson, Kennedy, and Bella Clarke; and special friend and fishing buddy, Jimmy Ray Shelton.

Funeral services will be conducted 11:00 a.m. Thursday, August 31, 2023 at Colbert-Moran Chapel by Rev. Jason Andrews.  Burial will follow in Carl O. Moran Memorial Garden.

The family will receive friends from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Wednesday, August 30, 2023 at Colbert-Moran Funeral Home and other times will be at the residence.
