Gretna……….Alfred (Al) Snow English, age 53 of 228 Ben Annie Road died Thursday, April 17, 2014 at his residence.
Born June 13, 1960 in Lynchburg, he is a son of Marie Simpson English of Gretna and the late Johnnie David English. Mr. English was a member of Gretna Pentecostal Holiness Church and was a retired employee of Klopman Mills. Mr. English enjoyed car racing, fishing, and spending time with his family.
In addition to his mother, he is survived by his wife, Sandra Watson English of the residence; two sons, J.D. English of Gretna and Jason English of Gretna; two brothers, Johnny English of Gretna and David English of Gretna; one sister, Cindy Berger and husband, Henry of Gretna; and a mother-in-law, Nancy Watson and friend, Allen Rigney of Chatham.
Funeral services will be conducted 11:00 A.M. Saturday, April 19, 2014 at Gretna Pentecostal Holiness Church by Pastor Donald Powell. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 7 to 8:30 P.M. Friday, April 18, 2014 at Colbert-Moran Funeral Home and other times will be at the residence.
