Gretna……….Callie Gibson Hedrick, age 91 of 10780 Chalk Level Road, Gretna went to be with her Lord Saturday, April 14, 2012. Born November 10, 1920 in Pittsylvania County she was a daughter of the late, Jim Gibson and Mattie Moore Gibson. She was predeceased by her husband, Walter B. Hedrick; one daughter, Stella King; four brothers, Roy Gibson, Charlie Gibson, Lonnie Gibson, and Willie Gibson; four sisters, Mary Moore, Fannie Adkins, Vera Rigney, and Cordie Crews. She was a home maker and a member of the Church of God of Prophecy, Gretna. She enjoyed going to church and reading her bible. Mrs. Hedrick spent the last two years of her life at the Chatham Health and Rehabilitation Center. She is survived by a son, Larry Hedrick and wife, Agnes of Lynch Station; two daughters, Frances Shelton of Gretna, and Nellie Sue Bolling of Gretna; one son-in-law, Thomas King of Chatham; 9 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, and 10 great-great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, April 17, 2012 at the Church of God of Prophecy, Gretna by Rev. Albert Moser. Burial will follow in the Greenbay Christian Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Monday, April 16, 2012 at Colbert-Moran Funeral Home and other times will be at the residence.
