Vincent H. Witcher III of Richmond, Virginia died peacefully Thursday, April 12, 2012 at his home. Born October 27, 1939 in Durham, North Carolina, Mr. Witcher was predeceased by his parents, Vincent H. Witcher Jr. and Annie B. Witcher, and his brother Bobb Witcher. He was a graduate of Frederick Military Academy and University of Richmond. He was a keen tennis player, and loved nothing better than playing a game of tennis with family or friends. He was a successful motel developer and executive for most of his career. Mr. Witcher was of the Baptist faith. He is survived by his daughter Michele A. Hattan and her husband Denis A. Hattan of Surrey, England, his two brothers Ronald Witcher and wife Susan of Richmond, and Jim Witcher and wife Marsha of Virginia Beach. Funeral services will be conducted 2:00pm Tuesday, April 17, 2012 at Liberty Christian Church in Sandy Level, Va. by the Rev. Dr. Paul Stone and Wayne Grinnell, Minister.
